So in a nutshell, It has been the LONGEST 4 weeks here at the McCormick household. Dee has had his poor jaw wired shut for 4 weeks and finally today had them cut off! It was like christmas for him! He got to eat eggs and oatmeal for the first time in a month! He has been on a strictly liquid diet for a month. He now graduates to soft foods such as, eggs, applesauce and yogurt:) He is so happy and so are we. He still has bars that go across his teeth, just in case they have to wire it again or use rubber bands to line up his jaw. But so far so good, his teeth are lining up nicely and things look good. He will definately have to have some dental work done and im sure he is gonna be real sore for the next few weeks, getting used to opening his mouth again. But all and all, Its a good day:)

So glad that you finally don't need to carry those wire cutters with you every where! Hope the healing continues to speed by!
That has got to be so nice!I seriously can't imagine not eating solids for 4 weeks.

That is so long. Probably felt like an eternity to him, poor guy! Hope he feels better quickly and that you guys have a happy halloween.
