I am obviously HORRIBLE at blogging! I have been busy working and honestly blogging has been the last thing on my mind! Everyone is doing well. Dee and i are participating in the MS 150 this June in Logan so we have started "training" for that. It should be a good time, im not gonna lie, the last time i rode a bike was in 3rd grade- my bike was "pink lighting" equipped with a big bird bell and a pink banana seat on it- WHICH i wish the bike i am riding now had... it would certianly help in the comfort factor! Braxton just turned 9! We had a swimming birthday party and it was one of the funnest, easiest parties i have ever thrown- we went to the indoor pool at Dimple Dell, we have never been there before but the kids loved it! I was a little worried at first to take 10 boys swimming but it went great, no one drowed or got lost so all in all, i would say it was a hit! Peyton and i were bored one day and decided to do a picture montage:) He is such a good little face puller- these cracked me up!

This week Braxton has had the whole week off school and I had a 3 day work week so we ended up doing alot of fun things. We went to the Aquarium, went sledding, made candy with grandma Christy and all the girls, Had a great Thanksgiving dinner with the family at Grandma Cheryls, I went black friday shopping at Toys R Us at 10- friday night and got everything i wanted and didnt encounter any real crazy shoppers (Thankfully, i didnt have to fight anybody for a Geotrax)! I have loved just relaxing and hanging out with the loves of my life, my boys!

I think this was the header to my last post i did 17 months ago:) I have sucked at blogging lately but i am alive and well! The boys and i have been busy, busy, busy! Braxton started 3rd grade and is loving it- Peyton is still just being Peyton, keeping us busy and picking on his brother. I am still working full time at the Mortgage Company and doing hair on the side, so by the time i come home, make dinner, do an hour of homework, get the kids ready for bed, i am pretty much ready for bed myself! Dee is still working nights so we are on opposite schedules- it works great with babysitting but it kinda stinks for us! Anyway, here are some pictures of what we have been up to- we did our annual trip to the fair and just last week we went to a Carnival. Enjoy!! The Train

K. We went to La Caille this morning for brunch, thanks to Rania and Clint:) They had some gift certificates that were gonna expire the end of the month and couldnt go so we GLADLY took them off their hands:) Thanks guys!! We had a really good time, I havent been to La Caille since i was probably 17 so it was very fun to go back. I think that place is SO pretty, I love everything about it. Pinewood Derby

We had the Pinewood Derby last weekend... Grandpa Bruce helped Braxton make his car in about 2 days(he was going out of town and we saved it til the last minute:/) He had a lot of fun at first when it wasnt so competitive and he was coming in 2nd, his car actually did really well considering this was our first "Go" at the Pinewood Derby, he made it to the quarter finals and thats when everything went downhill. He came in last everytime in that round (since it was all against the fastest cars) and it was ALL OVER from there. Braxton is probably the most competitive child i have ever met in my life. He gets mad if he loses a board game so this was fairly emotional to say the least. I think about 4 or 5 kids didnt even make the quarter finals so he did pretty good but NOT good enough! according to him- We had the "talk" on the way there, ya know, "this is just for fun and if you dont win its ok" NO, it wasnt ok. There were like 5 other kids there crying too- I really think the pinewood derby is lame.. I mean the kids dont even make the cars!! One of his really good friends, luke, ended up winning the whole thing- I guess his dad is like a pinewood derby champion or something- he said NO one in his family has ever lost a pinewood derby:) So at the end after he was done throwing a fit and we had left, i said well next year you and grandpa can start earlier and we can have some better ideas, He said nah, i think ill have lukes dad help me:)

I know it has been FOREVER since my last post! We have been so crazy busy! Nothing too new is going on with us, we did get a new car:) That is very fun- we got a 2002 Nissan Maxima and love it! It is so cute! ( "cute" is not quite the word Dee would use to describe it but he likes it too) Anyway, i thought i would post some pictures of the boys swimming. My little bro Carson takes swimming lessons from a lady named Lizz, who teaches at Dive Utah and my boys go with sometimes to share a lesson with him. Lizz is hilarious! I love her, she does not take ANY crap from any kids.. this is HER pool and HER rules. She is really sweet to my kids and to Carson, Peyton gets a little scared of her sometimes and cries:( She makes him get out of the pool til he is ready to swim again:) We had a little incident last month where he jumped in the pool when no one was looking and without his floaty belt on.. I luckily was right there and turned around just in time to jump in after him but lizz got mad at him and he cried for like an hour (seriously) after it happened! I dont think he will be doing that EVER again! Anyway, They are all such good swimmers! Peyton gets these little flippers on and a little floaty belt and he can swim all by himself! It is SO cute!!

We went sledding this week and the boys had a blast, even though it was 5 degrees outside.. maybe not 5 but it sure felt like it! I went just to observe so I didnt dress the part, little did i know I would have to hike down the hill- in my slippers! to get Peyton who couldnt walk up by himself:) It was ok, we still had fun. I cant believe how fast you get going down those hills- I decided to go once with peyton and I think we topped at 75 miles per hour:) It was so funny- I felt like I was 8 years old again:) Anyway, here are some pics of the boys!

Dang! It has been a long time since I updated my blog! The past month has been filled with lots of fun things, 2 best friends weddings, Peyton being potty trained, Braxton having girls call him and trying to hold on to every bit of warm weather we have!! I am so not ready for the cold- although we are ready for Halloween! We love halloween at our house! Peyton is being a "T-Rex", although the costume is actually an Alligator- to everyone that we will be visiting its a T-Rex, he is VERY particular! Braxton is going to be Dracula. My little Braxton is getting so big- we pulled out our Super Nintendo (from when I was a kid) last weekend and I seriously feel like I am 7 years old again! Braxton and I have been having SO much fun playing- I forgot how great that thing is! Anyway, a few weeks ago girls started calling Braxton. Yes, he is 7 years old and in 2nd grade. So one day, I came home from work and Dee proceeds to tell me Braxton has been on the phone for the past 45 minutes talking to some girl. So, as any mother would do, I go to "investigate". Our rooms are right next to each other so I listen from my room and hear him say, exact words..."From the first time I saw you in 1st grade, I knew we should be together. We have a CONNECTION ya know, I like green, you like green! I almost peed my pants! I was laughing histerically into my pillow, trying to keep quiet. I told my dad this and he is getting all the tips he can from Braxton:) Then after my laugh attack, I realized the seriousness( is that a word?) of the situation- I have to deal with girls NOW!! I thought I had at least a few more years. My mom told me I used to kiss boys when I was 4- Needless to say, she does NOT feel bad for me:)

Braxton started 2nd grade today! He was so excited to go back, mostly to see his friends. He was getting so bored with summer. Its fun to just hang out, sleep in and play all day but we were ALL ready for school and a daily routine again. I bought him all his school clothes a couple weeks ago and I told him he had to wait for school to start to wear them. He said "well you better hide them then, cause I have a short memory":)

Dee and I had a chance to go to Seattle last weekend ALONE and it was great! We had the best time- We havent gone on a Vacation with just the two of us for a long time. We went for Dee's cousin, Ashleys wedding. She got married at a really cool place in Seattle called "The Ruins", It was Beautiful. Her mom and dad actually married them too:) They got ordained online- which is the most awesome thing I have ever heard! Anyway, besides wedding stuff- we just sorta chilled out. We went to Pikes Market and to the downtown shopping district, where I was in HEAVEN!! Poor Dee, he just sorta followed me into every store I saw:) I have such a good husband- what a trooper! I love, love, love to shop:) Pikes Market was a blast too, they had the most Beautiful flowers I have seriously ever seen, bouqets were like 5 and 10 dollars- the same bouqet here would cost like 90 bucks! I wish we had a place like that in SLC. We also got to hang out with my BF Lindsay and her daughter Stella, which was great- they took us to a few farmers markets and just kinda showed us around. The best part of all though, I think was just doing nothing at all- sleeping in, taking naps, and not having to worry about anyone but ourselves! Dont get me wrong, I love my boys to death but I think every parent needs at least a weekend away every once and awhile:) We missed them like crazy but it was definately a much needed getaway!

We had a great 24th! First off not having work makes it a great day to begin with:) We started off our day by going to the new water park in Draper, Cowabunga Bay. The boys had a blast- It was a really fun place to go, it was overcast most the day so it was a little chilly but we still had a great time. We were going to see the big fireworks but were so tired( by that I mean me and Dee) so we did our own little firework show with our neighbors and it was just as fun. I figured we saw the big ones on the 4th so it was ok. Peyton was obsessed with sparklers! He didnt care about anything else- so we lit about 10 boxes of sparklers and called it good! This is our little Marley. She is such a good dog just a little hyper:) She just turned one in April so thats expected. She really is a sweetheart though, we love her. We got her spayed last week and it was HORRIBLE! It was the saddest thing I have ever seen in my life. I dropped her off at the Vet at 8 in the morning and couldnt pick her up til 5 later that day. She was SO sick from being put under- she is normally an outside dog but I would have let her sleep in my own bed ( I didnt though), I felt so bad for her. I made her a bed in my living room, she was so out of it all day. She would just look at me like YOU! YOU DID THIS TO ME! She threw up all night- it was so sad:( The next day I could start to feed her again and start her pain medication- she would NOT take anything! I ended up feeding her water through a dropper and shoving the pain pill down her throat. After about 20x of trying- I succeeded and she was more like herself a day later. After the surgery they are supposed to take it "easy" for 10 days- Ya right is all I have to say. Try making a 1 year old Lab lay low for 10 days... not gonna happen.

We went fishing with Papa Bruce and the boys loved it! Braxton has been before but Peyton has been waiting his whole life for this! Its his new favorite thing to do- When we were driving there, Braxton asked grandpa if he brought the fishing poles and grandpa said, "No, we are just gonna swim around and catch them with our teeth." and Peyton says from the back seat, "Well that makes sense!" Maybe next time we go, we will catch something:)

We decided to hit up the Zoo on Memorial Day. It was a great day to go! There were lots of people there but we all had so much fun. We met my mom, the carsonator and Kailey(my niece). Carson is probably the greatest person to go to the Zoo with- He signs the animals he wants to see or acts them out. Penguin was my personal favorite! The boys had a great time and love the Zoo. Peyton was a little scared of the big fake elephant that sprays water when it sneezes- he refused to sit on it for a picture with Kailey and Braxton. So he sat by the fence for a picture instead:)

Dee and I went snowboarding last sunday. We had a blast! I havent been up for like 5 years so it was so nice to get back up. It was a perfect sunny day. When we were coming back down the mountain we were almost KILLED by this avalanche! Just kidding, but really it would of hit us if we left honestly 2 seconds later.. It was crazy!

We go to a place called Bouncin' Off the Walls once a month with my little brother Carson and a group of kids with Autism. My mom has set up a support group for all the moms so we just tag along cause my kids love this place! It really is a lot of fun. Its all enclosed so they can just run wild and everything is inflatable so the chance of them getting hurt is slim. Here are a few pics from all the excitement:)

Braxton turns 7 Years old today!!

7 years ago today, after 3 DAYS of labor-Braxton Monroe McCormick was born at Alta View hospital at 3:31 p.m weighing in at a whopping 4 pounds 12 ounces. He was 7 weeks early and came with a vengeance! This little guy was ready to come out:) He came home with me two days later. He was our little "miracle baby" He has been keepin us busy ever since! I cant believe I have a 7 year old! It is so crazy to say- He is getting so big and I am so proud to be his mom. I couldnt ask for a better son! Happy Birthday Buddy!!

We had Braxton's Birthday Party yesterday at Nickel Mania( again..) As you can see, we had a great time! There were about 8 kids there, 22 if you count Peyton:) but my dad and my GREAT friend Jenn came to help me out. Dee had a dental surgery the day before so lucky for him, he was out of commission. Braxton scored some great presents and fun was had by all! I came home and took a nap!

He is getting so big! We took Peytons binky away! We are on day 4 and its going suprisingly well. I always said I would take it away when he turned 2. Well he has been 2 for almost 3 months:) ( Thursday he went to grandma's house and apparently he left it there-Peyton will only take the newborn green soothie binky, I swear we have bought at least 50 packages of these dang things. One day we would have 20 of them and the next we would have none- I swear when we move they will all show up and we will be able to open a binky store! ) Anyway, he woke up at 2 in the morning freaking out cause he didnt have his beloved binky. I was frantically looking under every nook and cranny trying to find this thing- no luck. So thats how we "decided" to take away the binky. I decided we better take the bull by the horns and just do it- I figure we might as well get all the 3 hour, 2 in the morning tantrums out of the way now. Im glad it happened the way it did though. I needed that push. I swear it was just as much for me as it was for him. I thought he would die if he didnt have it- It kept him happy so therefore it kept me happy:) He is doing really well though. He still asks for it occasionally but not as much as I thought he would. I told him it broke- and he is a big boy and only babies have binkys- he just laughs and says "oh gosh!" Now we can move on to the next venture:)

I LOVE Valentines Day, I think its so fun to have a reason to suprise the boys with little fun toys and candy. We always make a special treat, usually its chocolate covered strawberries and raspberries. I always try to find ways make it a fun day.

BRAXTON-
I cant believe you are 6 years old. You have turned into such a great kid, I am so proud of you. You always try your best and are always kind to others. You always like to try new things and meet new people, you can make a new friend anywhere we go. You are so handsome. Girls have always loved you! You have always been my little sidekick. It was you and I for almost 4 and a half years! We took you EVERYWHERE! You always were such a good baby, we could take you anywhere and you were content. You are such a good big brother. You have taught me to be more patient. I love how you wake me up in the mornings- yelling MOM, GET ME OUT! ME POOPED! I have never seen a child on such a schedule as you are. You make me smile. I Know I have sucked at blogging lately:) Dee threw away my camera charger on accident and I have yet to get a new one. When I blog, I like to post a pic as well. Anyway, everything here is grand. I started my new job. Im working with my dad at his Mortgage Co. as a receptionist/office manager. I work everyday from 10:30-2:30, It works out really well. Braxton is in school during this time and Peyton goes to family 3 days out of the week and with a babysitter who also has a 2 year old boy the other 2 days. It has worked out really well. It was so hard leaving him since It has been just him and I the past 2 years but I know its good for both of us. He had a hard time going to the babysitter the first 2 weeks- he would just cry his eyes out when I would leave( which would then lead me to cry ) This week things have been alot better, he doesnt cry when I leave- he is totally fine. He is getting so BIG!! I also have been going to the gym alot and Its so much fun, I forgot how great working out makes you feel. I dont feel guilty when i eat all my candy on the days that I go workout. HA! Just kidding! I never feel guilty when I eat my candy! I love it too much:) Anyway, Thats all. Ill go get a charger tomorrow and post more soon, Love to all!

Swimming Lessons!

The Boys have been taking Swimming lessons with my little Bro Carson. They take private lessons at Dive Utah with a lady named lizz who is Awesome! I told Dee to take pictures because Peyton is so freakin cute in these goggles! Its so funny, he leaves them on the whole time. Both my boys love the water! They are great little swimmers:)

Shays Wedding

Well We finally married off Shay! JK! Shay and Nick got married Dec. 30th. They got married in the Salt Lake Temple and had their reception at the Market Street Grill. Everyone had a great time and Shay looked absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I am so excited for Nick and Shay but Im sad to see them go. They went on their honeymoon to New York and will be moving straight from there to Virginia( Nick is in the Navy and is stationed there) but, I know they will be happy wherever they end up:)

My baby boy turns 2 years old tomorrow December. 29th. It is crazy how time flies, I cant believe he is turning 2. It seriously seems like yesterday I brought him home from the hospital. I love that kid so dang much! He is such a busy boy, Always into something- There really never is a dull moment with him. He fills our lives with so much joy. I couldnt imagine life without him:) Happy Birthday Baby! I love You! We had a little birthday party for him last saturday with just a few of his little friends and mine:) We went to Mcdonalds and played on the toys and ate mcnuggets and cake, it was rockin! Well Christmas was great, Everyone had an Awesome day. The boys got spoiled as usual. Braxton got an Ipod ( yes he is 6), some video games and legos. Peyton got a lot of cars, tractors and his very own Motorcycle- for him to ride. Christmas is always such a busy day but I wouldnt have it any other way, I love being around all of our family. We went to Vegas over the weekend as one last hoora before Dee goes back to work on tuesday(tomorrow). We had a blast! It was so much fun. We stayed at the coolest place, it was a timeshare called the West Gate at Flamingo bay, It was basically like a really nice apartment. It had a fireplace, its own kitchen, washer and dryer, and a freakin hot tub in the bedroom. It was great. We were only there for 2 days but we did a lot of fun things, We ate at some really amazing resturaunts like Sushi Roku in Cesars Palace and Emerils Agassi's place at the MGM and we went and saw the Cirque du Soleil show, KA. It was the Coolest show I have ever seen, if you go to Vegas- GO! We shopped of course and slept in! It was a well needed vacation but we are happy to be back home with the boys:) Thanks to Mom and Ra and Clint for babysitting, you guys are the best!

YAY! Dee bought me a new Camera so I can finally blog again! Im so excited! It was supposed to be for Christmas but lucky for me, he cant keep a surprise to save his life:) So here are some precious moments I captured.. Braxton and I on his bed making funny faces and Peyton and I walking around with tissues in our noses. I have had a cold the past week and my nose is like a freakin faucet! So.. Sadly I lost my camera about 3 weeks ago. That is why there has not been a post since halloween. Im SO mad about it, but it was bound to happen at some point. Dee tells me I would lose my head if it were not attached. Which is sad but very true:) I lose EVERYTHING! Anyway, nothing too new is happening with the McCormick family. Dee is doing better everyday, he still has not gone back to work- he probably will next month. Braxton is being a good big brother and doing great in first grade. We had parent /teacher conferences last week and he did awesome in everything but his handwriting. We are working on that... Peyton is in a Costume contest, Im sure you all have been badgered by me through e-mail, facebook, texting, or all of them! Im sorry if im annoying you but I think it would be Awesome if he won, even though it is just for fun! $500 bucks is a lot of money to just have handed to you cause you have a cute kid!( and great friends that vote for him) So again, if you have not voted-you still can. I have just been working and being a mom. So in a nutshell, It has been the LONGEST 4 weeks here at the McCormick household. Dee has had his poor jaw wired shut for 4 weeks and finally today had them cut off! It was like christmas for him! He got to eat eggs and oatmeal for the first time in a month! He has been on a strictly liquid diet for a month. He now graduates to soft foods such as, eggs, applesauce and yogurt:) He is so happy and so are we. He still has bars that go across his teeth, just in case they have to wire it again or use rubber bands to line up his jaw. But so far so good, his teeth are lining up nicely and things look good. He will definately have to have some dental work done and im sure he is gonna be real sore for the next few weeks, getting used to opening his mouth again. But all and all, Its a good day:)

Today we decided to carve our pumpkins. The boys had so much fun, peyton was in heaven! I helped him carve a little face and then he took the little pumpkin carving knife and went to town, He just made a few holes and tried to eat it( He thought since he was in his high chair it was dinner time). So I was taking pictures to capture the moment and now whenever you tell Peyton to smile- this is the look you get:) He is hilarious...

We went to the Pumpkin Patch today and the boys had a blast. They have been begging me to go for weeks and Its finally close enough to Halloween so I gave in. Peyton is all about pumpkins this year, he says "pum-pum" which is easily confused with "bum-bum" He has to repeat himself a lot! This place was huge! I really have never seen so many pumkins. We got some dang good ones:)

Dee Update

Dee had surgery Tuesday and everything went really well. He had to have two metal plates inserted permantely in his jaw and his jaw is wired shut for 6 weeks. He was in the hospital for two days but was relased thursday night. He is so happy to be home and so am I! I hate hospitals! I basically lived there for 3 days with him. Anyway, Ill keep everyone updated but so far so good.. We are experimenting with new foods we can liquify(mostly like smoothies and soups), by the time this is over, I will be an expert.

Im writing this blog to clear the air. A lot have people have been watching the news or have heard about a coach being assulted, Yes, it was dee. Friday night Granger(who dee coaches for) played Highland at Highland. Granger lost the game and a lot of the kids were upset about it. It is protocol for the team to get on the bus after the game and go back to the school as a team. Dee saw one of his players crying and walking away so he went over to him and told him"its ok, lets get on the bus" The boys father was with him and said "I got him, leave us alone" Dee said again, come on lets just get on the bus. The dad proceeded to grab his sons helmet and completely blind side him in the side of the head. Dee blacked out. Next thing he remembers is waking up in an ambulance. He has a broken jaw in 2 places and a pretty bad concusion. They addmitted him friday night for observation but released him saturday morning. He is doing ok, just in a lot of pain(obviously). He is going to have to have surgery sometime this week, they are waiting for the swelling to go down. They are going to have to place 2 metal plates in his face (that will stay there permanently) and have to wire his jaw shut for at least 6 weeks. As far as the guy that did this- He was booked in the salt lake county jail with no bail. He is charged with aggravated assult and a type 2 felony. They really wont give me more info til monday. We have to hire an attorney and are definately pressing charges. Needless to say, Dee is done coaching high school football for the year.. He says. Thank you for all your concern, thoughts and prayers, we really appreciate it.

Ok some people think the fair is such a white trash place to go but, I love it!! Its become a tradition over the past few years for me, my dad and the boys to hit the fair on opening day. I love the food, the animals(baby pigs!), all the freak shows- like worlds smallest horse or biggest alligator, but my absolute favorite thing to do at the fair is people watch. I swear it is a gathering of the weirdest people in salt lake city! Its hilarious!

Braxton started first grade on Tuesday! He got to take a stuffed animal with him and he chose this stuffed wolf named "Darien" ( he names all his stuffed animals after his friends) He was a little bit nervous but when I picked him up he was all smiles. I thought I would be really excited for this day but when I dropped him off I was so sad! My baby is going to be gone all day long! Im sure I will ease into it but it was a lot harder letting him go than I thought:) Im sure Peyton and I will have a marvelous time together. Peyton misses his big bro though, when we dropped him off the first day, He cried saying "brother, brother!" Im glad they love each other now:) Wednesday when I picked him up from school, he had Chocolate milk spilled all down the front of his shirt. I asked him what happened and he said, "Im not very good at opening those little milk cartons." I almost peed my pants!
